Ex-lawmaker Dino Melaye escapes assasination in Abuja today

"When you fight corruption, it fights back strongly," this was the first reaction of Hon. Dino Melaye to the latest of attempts to silence him by "some evil forces in the corridors of power."

According to an exclusive report tonewsmen by an insider, Dino, a former member of the House of Representatives would have been assassinated on Monday night if not that his car is bullet-proof...

Dino who has been blowing the whistle against monumental corruption in the last one year or so has also been receiving several threats to his life from "corruption people."

Strangely, newsmen gathered that Dino's car was shot at in an area close to where a combination of military and police personnel are stationed for a 24-hour surveillance in Abuja city centre. How come those who were sent to kill him were comfortable to attack him in such area beats his imagination.
